Heraklion: Cream of Crete

Heraklion, the capital of Crete, offers holidaymakers plenty of opportunity to hit the beach and catch some sun.
Many of the beaches in the north can be reached easily from Heraklion Town, making them ideal for visitors to Crete looking for a relaxing time on their holidays. Many of these feature golden sands and crystal clear waters lapping at the shore, creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment.
